I took Anna and Olivia for my last round of pedicure playdates.

We started the afternoon with the pedicures and then went to Panda Express for dinner. We listened to a little Taio Cruz's-Dynamite song in the car. Olivia sure can sing loud and it's a good thing she knew all of the words to that song.

And the day wouldn't have been complete if they didn't get to hold some chickens.

Pedicure Playdate Round 2

My second pedicure was with Quinn. She had a day off of school and I needed to get my toes done for my upcoming trip. It worked out perfect. She picked a lovely shade of hot pink which she got on her toes as well as her fingers. The cute lady that was working on her also gave her TWO suckers! That thrilled Quinn. So after getting pampered we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch. Nothing beats those chicken nuggets! To conclude our playdate we listened to a little Justin Beiber on our way home. Good times with a cute little lady!

Pedicure Playdate Round 1

Emily, Zoe and myself spent some time today getting pampered. We started with pedicures and ended with salads at Cafe Rio. Neither of them had ever received a pedicure. I'm not sure which part they enjoyed the most, if it was the massage chair, getting their legs and feet massaged, or picking out a flower to add to their color. They are both quite entertaining! It was enjoyable to listen in on what ten and eleven-year-olds talk about (I believe they came up with a rewards system that had to do with their bookclub. Example, if you don't complete your book report, you will have to pay $5.00. Yikes! And if you do, you will get $20.00. Wonder how that would go over in my bookclub?) Good times, good food, and soft feet! Thanks little ladies for going with me and making me smile.

Puerto Vallarta

We recently took a trip down to Puerto Vallarta. Even though it was quite hot and humid, we still had a wonderful, relaxing trip. Unfortunately, we spent most of the trip believing that we had left the camera at home. I had the battery charger in my suitcase, but I couldn't find the camera in my carry-on. It wasn't until the last evening that we found it in Dustin's carry-on tucked in a corner. We ran around that night in a rainstorm and the next morning taking pictures. The picture of the two of us is the only picture that we have of us. And, obviously we took it ourselves since everyone was in their rooms due to the rain. Oh well, at least we were able to get some.

My apologies to Seth. I didn't realize that people over 10 enjoyed the birthday shout-outs. Here it is...Happy Birthday!!!! And, my apologies to the other adults whose birthdays I've neglected. Sorry for the selection of pictures. Seth is an amazing photographer but, doesn't like his picture taken.

Originally, we just had a bed for Stella in our family room. But, after seeing that Atticus wanted a bed in there as well, we did some rearranging and added his bed in there as well. I think he's just a little too big for Stella's bed. I think they are the ones in charge of our house!

Ralph Offeret

I'm not sure how to start this post. But, Dustin's grandfather Ralph Offeret passed away last night. Dustin was extremely close with him. He was a great great man. He helped raise Dustin, and did a mighty fine job at that. We loved sitting and listening to his stories of when he was a young kid and teenager. I gather that he was a troublemaker though. He shared 56 years with his wife, Betty, and had three lovely children. He was a strong man that served our country and received a purple heart. He will be missed...

Progressive Dinner

Every Christmas my family puts together a progressive dinner. This way we can see everyone's house all decorated for the holidays. We start at my house for appetizers. Travel to Sean and Ashley's for a salad, my mom's for the main course, and finally to Megan and Seth's for dessert. Good food and good times.

Obviously, Dustin had a good time.

I love to decorate my house. I don't know how so I just throw stuff together and hope that it works. I didn't have a reason to have anyone over this year around Halloween but I decorated anyway. Now that I have a blog at least I can still share the pictures.

Captain Patrick

Some of you have had the opportunity to meet my friend Captain Patrick. He is the captain of the Starship Enterprise and I am one of his commanding officers. Last week our salon went and had our pictures taken. Captain Patrick was invited to be in the picture as he folds our towels on Wednesday afternoons and Friday afternoons. We were told to wear black and white for our picture and naturally that meant renting a tux to Patrick. I arrived just as he was leaving and he let me take his picture. He was so proud of himself in the tux and that he was in the picture. For those of you that have met him you know that he is not a tall man. That being said, I guess that the tux rental place had to do A LOT of alterations to make the tux fit him. So many in fact that they just gave him the tux after that.

I am grateful to Patrick for reminding me how simple and wonderful life is. For someone to be excited about folding our crap towels at work reminds me to seek out the little things in life. He's a great man and I am honored to work on the Starship Enterprise with him.

I'm not sure what I'm doing starting a blog, but anything is worth trying right? I'll try to keep this blog interesting. Who knows, you might just be entertained for a few minutes while reading my blog. You'll see pictures of my husband, my dogs, my nieces and nephews, and probably my house (this will be one of few of me). You'll hear an array of music (not necessarily good). If I find a recipe that I like, I'll post that or if I find a screaming deal on a coat at a store, I'll post that too. If I redecorate my bookcases, you guessed it..you'll see it. So, don't expect this blog to change your life or really benefit you in any way. Hope ya'll enjoy...
